At a time when displacement and humanitarian margins are being tested globally, the necessity for principled leadership has never been more urgent. Following the landmark success of its inaugural conference, the Chittagong University Model United Nations Association returned to break all existing benchmarks with the second edition of the region's premier diplomatic simulation: CUMUN 2016.
CUMUN 2016 arrived as the absolute standard for international youth summits in the region. Designed as an authentic simulation of the United Nations architecture, this session brought together an elite contingent of young academics and aspiring diplomats from across the country and the globe to master the arts of structural negotiation, high-stakes diplomacy, and professional execution.
The mandate for this edition was clear: "Uphold Humanity, Save Refugees." Under this central theme, CUMUN 2016 constructed a global platform dedicated to confronting the legal, political, and moral dimensions of the global refugee crisis. It challenged the finest minds of a new generation to step beyond academic comfort zones and draft actionable, human-centric solutions for the protection of fundamental human rights.

Opening Ceremony
The second edition commenced with a formal opening ceremony that set an immediate tone of global responsibility.
