About CUMUNA
An idea ideated by — and for — the enthusiasts of extracurricular pursuit
What came to be an extracurricular portfolio harnesser on 30th April 2014 turned out to be something of a necessity for many people a decade later. The Chittagong University Model United Nations Association — an idea ideated by and for the enthusiasts of extracurricular pursuit — truly took off after its initial obstacles of promotion and scaling within the campus premises.
This multi-faceted club has not only developed a robust network of MUN enthusiasts but also nurtured latent talents to serve their academic and research purposes. Additionally, CUMUNA became a crucible for networking with people from every corner of Bangladesh via their respective clubs and events.
Today, CUMUNA stands as a name ubiquitously mentioned as an exemplary club, promoting the goodwill of emerging youth power at the University of Chittagong. The accolades of CUMUNA members exemplify, time and time again, what young people can think — and what they can achieve.

Every Thursday
Regular Sessions
CUMUNA holds its weekly session every Thursday — MUN workshops, drills, mock MUNs and contemporary seminars, doubling as a cohort for soft-skill training.
How we're organised
Four forces, one association
Governing Board
The driving force of every tenure. The governing board members steer the path for the club, selected by a viva board formed by the preceding governing board. Through their foresight, the association has consistently reached new heights.
Meet the boardsExecutive Panel
The accelerating force of each tenure — the corresponding unit to the governing board, acting in a consequential manner and bridging the governing board with associate members. Panel members are selected by the newly formed governing board through four discrete steps.
Trustee Board
The former leaders of the association who guide CUMUNA through thick and thin. The prestigious role of trusteeship is endowed to the General Secretary of the preceding CUMUN event. The advice of the trustees is received with much gravity — pivotal to corporate networks and governing body selection.
Alumni
“Youth is the time to study wisdom; old age is the time to practice it,” said Jean-Jacques Rousseau — a reminder of the impact of those who came before us. They know not only the rules but the exceptions. The alumni network is crucial to the younger members, its funds important to organisers, and its opinions pivotal on countless occasions.
